ARTERIOVENOUS MALFORMATIONS: WHAT IF
WE HAD'NT UNDERSTOOD ANYTHING?
Often depicted as a tangled mass of arteries and veins, as shown in the first illustration, cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) in fact exhibit identifiable structural features. A deeper understanding of these characteristics helps anticipate treatment effects more effectively.
This series of illustrations was created for the Interventional Neuroradiology Department at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, for the article “Nidus of Brain AVMs: What If We Hadn’t Understood Anything?” published in the American Journal of Neuroradiology.
