Hi! I'm Diane, freelance illustrator based in France.

Specialized in medical and scientific fields (anatomy, surgery, biology, etc.), I combine traditional techniques with digital tools to create accurate and expressive illustrations, designed for both specialists and broader audiences.
Holder of a Diploma of Applied Arts (DMA) with a specialization in engraving and a Higher Diploma of Applied Arts (DSAA) in Scientific Illustration Design, both completed at École Estienne, I chose to complement my applied arts training with a Master’s degree in Journalism, Culture, and Scientific Communication from Paris-Diderot University, in order to broaden my scientific knowledge and develop my skills in science communication for diverse audiences.

Working as a freelance illustrator since 2018, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with biotechnology companies such as SparingVision, Kardium, and Artedrone; the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital; the National Veterinary School of Alfort (ENVA); Belin and Flammarion publishing houses; the French National Museum of Natural History (MNHN); and the Orléans Museum of Biodiversity and the Environment (MOBE).

Have a question or a project? Let's connect!
An illustration project?
How does
it work?
1. Let's chat!
We discuss your project together to define the content and graphic style of the illustrations to be created, according to your expectations and needs. Every project is unique and tailor-made!
2. How much does it cost?
Based on your project’s specifics, I’ll provide you with a quote. Once you accept it, we’re good to go!

To give you an idea...
An illustration typically costs between €200 and €600. The price depends on the project’s complexity and the requested graphic style. A simple small illustration will be below this range, while a larger piece, such as one showing multiple steps, will be more expensive.
3. First, pencil sketch...
After conducting graphic research on the scientific topic, I create a sketch of the project. Through several rounds of feedback and revisions, we refine this draft together until it’s ready for finalization.
4. Does this look good to you? I’ll finalize!
Once you’re happy with the sketch, I bring out my best pencils (or my graphics tablet) to complete your illustration! Inking, shading, and coloring — the project takes its final form.
Then begins a new phase of revisions, during which I can offer you color variations and adjustments.
5. It's done!
I’m delivering the illustrations, finally ready!
All that’s left is for you to enjoy them.
