PALEOENVIRONMENTAL MURAL
Large-scale illustration (1.80 x 3.80 meters) created for the permanent exhibition at the MOBE (Muséum of Orléans for Biodiversity and the Environment).
Through its key animal and plant species and its unique geology, the Orléans region is depicted here as it was during the Miocene epoch, based on current scientific knowledge. Bordered by the faluns of Touraine and bathed by a shallow sea, the Orléans plateau was then a warm, humid, and swampy environment.
Species shown, from left to right:
légumineuse, cyprès, Ysengrinia Depereti, Brachyodus Onoideus, Amphimoschus artenensis, Deinotherium Cuvieri, Ptychogaster
Aquatic species: Conus mercati, Dendrophyllia digitalis, Hexaplex turonensis, Carcharodon hastalis
Colored pencils and digital techniques.
